First Avenue Training’s primary mission is to improve children’s lives and wellbeing through the delivery
of effective training to the professionals that look after them. Our aims are: To develop the practice,
knowledge and skills of learners to support children’s wellbeing and development and to become suitable
childcare practitioners; and to develop the skills of learners wishing to become responsible tutors/assessors.
Our objectives are that learners will: Gain the knowledge and understanding suitable to their subject area; have
an opportunity to practice skills and put into practice knowledge gained; be offered support, advice and
help to achieve their work and learning goals.
We are based in East Yorkshire but also, cover West, South and North Yorkshire, as well as North and North East Lincolnshire.
We can also provide Distance Learning on a much wider geographic area, for some subjects.

As well as providing information on training courses, we can give advice on the childcare and education sectors and what might be best for you. Also we have the latest funding information and can point you in the right direction if we aren't the best choice for you.
